From 1.30 pm, the Swiss folk music group Ambäck, the Norte Quintet, the Central Swiss dialect singer Chr!gel and the singer-songwriter Anina Sialm will be performing live on Piazza Gotthardo.

The grand finale will be a concert by the Swiss Orchestra at 5 pm in the Andermatt Concert Hall: alongside Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’, the orchestra will perform symphonic folk music works composed especially for this occasion, each dedicated to a different season, together with five great names from the Swiss folk music scene. PROGRAMME
ANDERMATT CONCERT HALL

Alongside Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” for solo violin and orchestra, the programme features symphonic folk music works composed especially for this concert by Fränggi & Maria Gehrig, Dani Häusler, Nadja Räss and Christoph Pfändler, each of whom has set one of the seasons to music. The Swiss Orchestra performs under the baton of Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer – with Sherniyaz Mussakhan playing the solo violin.

Markus Flückiger (Schwyzerörgeli), Andreas Gabriel (violin) and Pirmin Huber (double bass) play new folk music that ventures off the beaten track.

CHR!GEL
Chrigel Baumann, who grew up in the valley in Uri, is passionately dedicated to music in the local dialect. His new album: ‘Berguf — Bergab’.

FRÄNGGI & MARIA GEHRIG
These two well-known local heroes are deeply rooted in Swiss folk music, yet are also inspired by classical and jazz.

DANI HÄUSLER
This innovative folk musician combines tradition with experimentation and has been delighting audiences with his clarinet playing for decades.

SHERNIYAZ MUSSAKHAN
As concertmaster of the Swiss Orchestra, he has built up his own fan base — today he shines in Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”.

CHRISTOPH PFÄNDLER
The dulcimer virtuoso has an open mind towards folk music, classical, metal and rock ’n’ roll, and explores new sonic worlds as a soloist, composer and lecturer.

NADJA RÄSS
The passionate singing teacher and professor of yodelling also enjoys bringing new forms of yodelling to the stage herself.

ANINA SIALM
With her expressive voice and sensitive guitar playing, this young musician from Uri authentically expresses her passion.

SWISS ORCHESTRA
Classical, innovative, open-minded: the Swiss Orchestra is the orchestra in residence at the Andermatt Concert Hall.

LENA-LISA WÜSTENDÖRFER
The internationally renowned conductor is Music Director of the Swiss Orchestra and Artistic Director of Andermatt Music.
